MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION

1.0 Name

The name of the forum shall be “Global Forum for Public Relations” (GFPR)

2.0 Registered Office

The Registered Office of the Forum shall be situated at HIG-420, Phase I, BHEL Township, Ramachandra puram, Hyderabad - 500032

3.0 Administrative Office - International

The Administrative Office of the Forum shall be situated in Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University, Brahma Kumaris, Shantivan, Abu Road, Rajasthan - 307510
3.1 Administrative Office - India
The Administrative Office of the Forum in India shall be situated at Flat No.401, Sanali Heavens, Behind Kamma Sangham, Ameerpet, Hyderabad - 500016

4.0 What is GFPR
4.1 Global Forum for Public Relations - India's International Association of public relations practitioners for values and ethics in public relations profession has been registered vide registration no. 924/2006 in April 2006, with headquarters in Hyderabad. It is intended to promote public relations with a mission of Golden Triangle - Professionalism, Ethics and Spirituality - in association with Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University, Mt. Abu.

4.2 Global Forum emphasizes the benefits of moral approaches to public relations, enabling you to develop attitudes and behaviors which stem from shared core values and understanding. Inspired by the vision of a world where people live in harmony with others, the purpose is to share that vision of the future while strengthening individual awareness of the dignity and worth inherent in every human being for an ideal Public Relations tomorrow
5.0 GFPR Vision & Mission
5.1 VISION:
Commitment to professional excellence of international standards, with the Basic Human Values - Sathyam (Truth), Dharmam (Right Conduct), Shanti (Peace) and Prema (Love) as to serve the cause of the society.
5.2 MISSION:
Achieving pre-eminent position for Public Relations as a strategic management function through the Golden Triangle of Professionalism, Ethics and Spirituality alongside a global network of skilled practitioners.
5.3 Objectives
To create a deep awareness on the importance of Public Relations in Human Development.
To inculcate interest in Public Relations Practitioners to adopt Ethics and Values in the profession.
To raise the standards of Public Relations education and promote Research avenues for an ideal body of knowledge.
To introduce practical programmes for enrichment of Public Relations professionals for better Human Relations.
To help and assist Public Relations practitioners to create for themselves an atmosphere free from stress and tension.
To help and assist the existing Associations, Societies, Councils, Forums, Bodies for tangible solutions.
To organize periodical seminars, workshops, conferences, symposia, awareness programmes etc. on Public Relations.
To bring out/publish value based Public Relations literature, periodicals etc.
To establish charitable and spiritual educational institutions, libraries and reading rooms for Public Relations.
6.0 Structures and Organization
The Global Forum for Public Relations is an International Forum having total four tier structure i.e. International, National, State and Chapter. The Chapter is the most important Unit of the GFPR, which is at the local level designated to take up various activities to promote the vision and mission of GFPR. The State Executive, who will report to the National Executive, supervises the Chapters. The International Executive will oversee and co-ordinate the activities of the all other chapters.
6.1. International Executive
6.1.1 The International Executive is administered by a body comprising of President, Executive Vice-President, 4 Regional Vice-Presidents, Secretary General, Treasurer and an Advisory Committee consisting of at least 3 members and 4 other Professional members to be co-opted. The International Executive will supervise, guide, co-ordinate the activities of National, State and Chapter level bodies.
6.2 National Executive
6.2.1. The National Executive is administered by a body comprising of National President, 4 Regional Vice-Presidents, Secretary General National, Treasurer and 4 other Professional members to be co-opted by the Executive.
6.3 State Executive
6.3.1. The State Executive is administered by a body comprising of State President, 2 Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and 4 other Professional members to be co-opted by the Executive
6.4. Chapter Executive
6.4.1 The Chapter Executive is administered by a body comprising of Chapter Chairman, 2 Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and 4 other Professional members to be elected by the Chapter.
7. Advisory Council
7.1. The Advisory Council is nominated by the International Executive purely on merit basis taking their standing in the PR profession, which is to be justified when it is to be declared.
8. Memberships
8.1. The membership of the Forum will consist of Public Relations Officers, Corporate Communication Officers, PR Academicians, Tutors, PR practitioners in Advertising, Media, Marketing, Event Management Agencies, PR Consultants, PR students of Dip/Degree/PG level of a recognized Institutions/University
9. Membership Categories
9.1. There shall be the following categories of memberships:
-Individual Annual/Life
-Corporate Annual/Life
-Associate Member
-Student Member
-Honorary Member
-Special Invitee
10. Termination, Cessation of memberships
10.1.The membership is liable for termination in the event of failure to honor the GFPR, violate the constitutional provision of GFPR, non-payment of annual subscription.
11. Membership Fee
11.1 The membership fee for different categories will be:
-Individual Annual/Life
-Corporate Annual/Life
-Associate Member
-Student Member
12. Affiliation Fee
12.1. The GFPR will collect affiliation fee from each level of bodies based on its membership in percentage to be decided.
13. Funds of GFPR
-Annual Affiliation dues
-Grants, donation, general contribution
-Loans and deposits
-Sponsorships
-Interest on investments
- Monies received from advertisements, special events
-Membership fees
14. Resources and development Committee
14.1. There shall be a Committee to raise resources to take up overall development projects

17. Meetings of the Executive Committee
17.1 The Executive of each tier will meet four times a year. Quorum for any meeting shall be 1/10 of the total members of the Executive.
18. Chapter Identity, logo and color of logo
18.1 Each Chapter shall be designated itself by the name of the Country, State and city in which it is located. They shall be identified with the GFPR logo printed in specified color.
19. Affiliation
19.1. Each Chapter shall be a member of the GFPR and will be administered by the constitution
20. Revocation
20.1. Failure to pay affiliation dues within 6 month, Failure to comply with statutory requirement
21. Reinstatement of Chapter
21.1 Revoked membership of Chapter may be re-instated at the discretion of AGM
22. Transfer of Membership
22.1 Membership is transferable from one nation, state, city to another by waiving his entry fee.
23. Publicity Material
-News bulletin, House magazine, posters, Brochures, films, CDs, Annual Reports
24.Awards & Recognitions
To be decided by the Committee on framing the constitution
25. Inter Association Relations & Co-operation

26. Education and Research Committee
26.1 The Committee will work to promote PR education and research and prepare a panel of PR faculty and trainers. Create a fund for the purpose.
27. Accreditation and Development Committee
27.1 To decide and award the accreditation to the deserving professionals and develop a curriculum for the screening test for awarding fellowship
28. Committee on Ethics and Professional standards
28.1 To keep a check on ethics of Chapters, professional members during discharge of their function and set a bench mark of professional standards.
29.College of fellows
29.1 Committee to look after PR job exchange, advocacy of issues, advancing the profession of PR
30.Past President’s Council
30.1 The Chapter shall constitute a Past President’s Council
31 Calendar of programmes
31.1 Each Chapter will declare a calendar of programmes soon after their formation
32. Travel fund for Office Bearers
32.1 To Create and administer a fund for the official travel of office bearers
33. Dissolution and amalgamation Committee
33.1 To administer dissolution in accordance with the provisions of the constitution and also to look after amalgamation
34. Secretariat

42.1 Every member of GFPR shall be indemnified by the GFPR and it shall be the duty of Forum out of the funds of the Forum to pay all costs, losses and expenses which any such member of the Forum incurs in the discharge or functions assigned by the GFPR
